Thanks for having a look at this latest DL PW for NWN. Please feel free to comment on your game experience. Please post the bugs in the Server Area. New areas will be added as we go.
I would like to thank Katdoral who was nice enough to post the base module for this PW, DragonLance: Beginnings. Below is her list of Credits.
--- from Original Mod Documentation --
First and foremost, let me say thank you to the original authors of DragonLance, Weiss and Hickman. Without them, a wonderful and rich world would never have been developed. My original intent was to create an evolving server set in the DragonLance game world. Currently, nearly all of the scripts used were those I found submitted on the vaults. So, first I'll try to acknowledge the authors of those scripts.
First of all, CNR. Originally submitted by Festyx and Hrnac, David Bobeck and Gary Corcoran respectively. It's a wonderfully built trade skill system.
Second is the Death Token system, made by Jeffdavis_99, which I found necessary to avoid the die, log out, log in at full health exploit. Thanks for taking the time to both write and submit this nice set of scripts.
Third is the Experience system, submitted to the vaults by Markshire. It allowed for summoned/familiars/companions to not take a chunk of experience, and to promote many wonderful group experiences. Thanks for work!
Forth was a fairly simple, but still very usefull module reload script set created by InterSlayer that made my life as a dm significantly easier with some of our events.
Fifth was the Persistant Player Storage system submitted by OldManWhistler that allowed my players to easily store their stuff, and not have every thief in creation walking off with their goods...Many thanks from many players
Sixth was Shayan's Treasure System, which made it easy for me to set up nice custom loot drops based on tiered chest placables. Very nice and very user friendly.
Also, a special thank you goes out to Lilac Soul and his ever-popular script generator, which made many of the things possible that weren't available on the vaults. It showed me the rudiments of scripting, and while still I'm certainly now advanced user, I can now tell the difference between an include and a function call Thanks for that!
That's the end of the acknowledgement section, except that I would like to personally thank all of the players who helped beta this. While I'm sure there are still some bugs in there somewhere, the majority of the major ones have been weeded out thanks to them.
The server can be run as is, it has 130+ areas. There are some bugs to be worked out still, but nothing preventing players from still enjoying themselves. It was designed as a role-playing server, but feel free to edit it freely.
